My partner has just started a plumbing buisiness with his dad, at the moment they are waiting for their company to go limited and for their accountants to sort their tax out, so aren't really bringing in much money at the mo. I was just wondering how long do these things take to sort out? We really want to buy our own place in June then get married but the rate things are going it feels like this is never going to happen!!! any advice please?

It takes about a day to register a company and another 30 minutes to fill out forms to register with the Tax Office. I wonder if the problem is with obtaining a Sub contractor's certificate, which can take a while? That would be the only thing which would stop them from doing large jobs. The easiest thing is to ask the accountant what is holding things up - after all, thats what he's being paid for.

The above answer gives you the info.
I will add that you should forget about buying a house in June if this is all the income data that you will have.
Any lender will want to see at least three years of accounts.
What's this "waiting for their company to go limited" stuff? and "not bringing in much money at the mo" What tax is there to sort out anyway? Its all straightforward easy stuff to a competent professional. I don't think that you are being entirely honest with us.
See the sort of thing that a lender will ask you.
