She is scratching and biting and by the looks of it, it is definetly NOT FLEAS. She looks like she has a bad case of dandruff on her fur, but we have seen some clear white like bugs crawling on her. They are attached to the hair follicles but they seem to be biting her and she is scratching and biting her legs, back and face throughout the day. She also has a foul odor over her body and I have read that dogs who suffer from mites carry a bad odor. Otherwise she is healthy, eating and playing well. I know there has to be a home remedy for this one.

It sure sounds like mange. Take this dog to the vet immediately so she can get some relief. There is NO home remedy. Not treating your dog when vet care is needed is the same thing as abuse and is against the law.

I have two puppies (4 months old) and they had demedex (sp) mites. They were happy, lively puppies when they were diagnosed. However, the treatment process is not short. First, you must take your puppy to the vet & ask for a skin scraping. This will determine which type of mites she has. That will determine the course of action. For my girls, they had to get a shot of medicine, then daily liquid medicine, which has been going on now for 2 months. They are almost completely rid of these mites (they are hard to get rid of). The vet also gave me some shampoo, but its only to help with the itching & dry skin, it doesn't get rid of the mites.
Please take your little girl to the vet so you can begin the treatment!
Good Luck

Your best bet is the vet. Home remedies can be dangerous! She needs the care of a vet because it is a parasite and it is her skin. You don't want to start applying crap to her skin and hair and not know what kind of effect it will have. She needs medical care, she is obviously not in the best shape and is probably miserable. I'm sure you would still eat and do the things you do throughout your day if you had lice or crabs, but you would also go to a doctor to get rid of it!

You need to take your puppy to a vet and stop thinking that EVERYTHING has a home remedy. Mange(which is caused by over growth of mites) needs to be treated CORRECTLY at a VET with the PROPER medication!!!!!!

You are not a VET! Stop looking for a cheap fix and take her to one! If something was wrong with your child would you be looking for a "home remedy" or would you take the kid to the doctor?

Please go to a vet!!! It does sound like mange, which is very contagious to other animals! Frontline is good if it is fleas, but it doesn't sound like fleas!
