My friends daughter got called a white honkey by a girl the other day and then she said when they were outside playing soccer, this girl was saying "All you white people can't kick worth s**t" and the teacher was right there and didn't do anything about it while she was screaming and waving her arms around yet one time her daughter whispered something in someones ear and someone accused her of saying the N word and she got suspended for three days from school. When she swore she was whispering about a boy her friend liked and she NEVER said that but even if she did, no one even heard her and they suspended her witout any proofe at all. Don;t you think they should do the same for this girl? Her remarks were racist as well and everyone (even the teacher) heard her shouting it from the top of her lungs yet ignored it!

Oh and also, she said another black male student called that girl the N word for acting stupid. Forgot to mention that.

"Tough Love" For one thing you don't know my friend, me or her daughter so make assumptions that she is lieing just because you don't want to believe it is ridiculous as what went on in the school that I know for a fact IS true because even some of the students that are not her friends and black students have said it was true! Don't just auto jump to the conclusion that we are "assuming" anything. Know the FULL details before opening your mouth about something you are lecturing us to do!

(It seems that the asker is making assumptions and is one of those parents who doesn't believe their kid lies, does anything wrong, and is a perfect angel)
Don't pay any mind to answers like this one that have no clue who you or your friends are. It just seems they have issues with the topic so they want to try to avoid it (like a lot of people do) so they get off subject intentionally.
Tell your friend to go to the school and talk to them. I had a issue like this one time as well.
The principal didn't do anything about it even though my mother tried. I think it is fear of backlash like the other poster said. Don't be quiet about it! It's just as important then if the show were on the other foot! No one no matter who they are should have special privledges concerning what they are allowed to say.

I would love to be a fly on the wall to hear what REALLY went on there!
It seems that the asker is making assumptions and is one of those parents who doesn't believe their kid lies, does anything wrong, and is a perfect angel. As a parent, I've found it wise to greet EVERYTHING my kids bring to me with skepticism. 90% of the time, when you dig for the truth, you find out they're not telling you the WHOLE story.
Do a little asking around, and see if there's substance to the story. If there is, THEN you take action, because what is going on there is wrong! But don't automatically make a judgement which could very well make you look the fool, by flying off the handle with cries of 'reverse racism', and all the while buying in to the idea that minorities are whiners when they bring it up.
Additional: Bottom line asker- you WEREN'T there. Taking EVERYTHING in consideration is what I was talking about. Unlike others here I DID read everything...but you are really seeking validation for an assumption you've already made.
Happy Coon Huntin'!

For some reason, many white people are scared of black people. I'm not sure why, really. It's all kind of stupid.
Yes, I think this girl should be at least talked with about the comments she made. The reason she said them is that I fear many black people have the attitude, "What are they going to do to me? I've got Affirmative Action and the NAACP on my side." Wrong. What goes around comes around, and this girl (and all the other people out there like her) will eventually get bitten in the @ss for having their attitude. Time. It's all a matter of time...

This girl should be gotten in trouble. In the school I came from u would get detention for using that kind of language.
Speak to the school board about a rule change that has a punishment for kids who use swear words as well as racial slurs.
Which was why we teens at the time use it when the teachers weren't around or were really quiet about it.

I agree with you 100%, the racism is bad, period. The girl who was yelling things to the white should be treated as if happened in the other way around, so the teacher who didn't do anything should be reported too because she was presented during the incident and didn't do anything to teach that girl that being racist is one the worst things a person can be.

Yes and the parent of the girl should go to the principal about it. The teacher's apathy about doing anything about it , shows that either he/she silently agrees with the other girl's statement or that the teacher is afraid to take a child of another colour or ethnicity to the same standards and worried about the possible backlash.
Intolerance no matter WHO says it shouldn't be tolerated and there should be equal punishment levied out no matter who says it and whatever the backlash is.

You'll have to keep going up the ladder - complain to the principal, then the school board, and keep going.
PLEASE do not stop until someone takes this seriously. I am so sick and tired of the double standard. People can say anything they want to and about white people, but if someone whispers the "N" word or calls someone a "f@gg0t", they are immediately ousted.
If the liberals want complete political correctness, let's give it to them.
I also want black people to be punished for using the "N" word. If it's offensive for others to say it, they can't use the word among themselves. The double standard must end!

Yes, that teacher's an idiot for not doing something earlier. However If you feel she's not addressing these issues properly, then why not schedule an appointment with the principal and teacher to discuss the matter as a whole. Hopefully she'll recognize the error of her ways.

we'll never see an end to racism till everyone quits being racist, black an white. so yes, the other girl should have been suspended and that seems outright ridiculous that they'd suspend your daughter without proof. contact the aclu or somethin.

Racism in the form of negative, all-inclusive statements in reference to any race, color or nationality should never be tolerated or ignored by someone who serves as a potential role-model for children. Ignoring the comment could be a sign that the teacher did not hear it or did not know what to say. She should have acknowledged the comment and called the child's attention to the fact that the comment was wrong and should never be repeated.
