Which check is suppose to come first the Federal or the state?

If you e-filed your state should come first but it all depends on how you filed by mail, via internet, tax pro etc. But everytime I have filed my state has come first and I have filed through a pro and the internet. Hope that helps a little.

that depends on how you filed( through mail, internet, agent etc. ) I usually file over then net and recieve my federal first some states maybe faster .

They are independent of each other. One does not necessarily to come before the other. It all depends on how and when your state processes your return compared to the IRS.

he can but u must file a joint return so u couldnt file on your own
