The only thing you won't get at this website is your credit score. that costs 10 bucks, but the rest is free and I didn't need a credit card. You can choose the agency to get your report from (out of the three major ones), and you can get one free report per year PER REPORTING AGENCIES. this means that you can get one today, one in 4 months, and another in 4 months and not pay a dime.

AnnualCreditReport.com is the only government approved website to receive your free credit reports. They do not ask for credit card information nor do they require you to sign up for monitoring services. All you need is your SS# and to answer a few questions about your accounts.
Your credit score isn't included in the free reports, but they are available for a small fee.
You should stay away from FreeCreditReport.com and the like, as they do require you to sign up for services before you get the reports. And you have to cancel your subscription before the trial period ends or you'll be charged a monthly fee.

I think that you should have other verification options on freecreditreport.com. When I did it, I could chose between a loan number, a credit card number, and another choice that I can't remember. When my parents got theirs, they had the option of entering a mortgage number. I think it is tailored to your credit history, so if you don't have a credit card, I'm not sure why they would ask for a credit card number...
Maybe you could try calling Customer Service for help... here is the number: 1-877-481-6826. (They are open M-F 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., S-S 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. PT.)
Good luck!

i'm uncertain why the 1st 2 solutions have been incorrect. There could desire to be human beings answering in right here that have not got any clue. ANNUALCREDITREPORT.COM comments are unfastened - they consistently have been the television commercials you notice will cost your credit playing cards horriffic re-ucurring expenses, that they gained't quit even if you call. Print out your comments. a million in 2 human beings have blunders of their comments do no longer delete previous products in solid status - this develops your credit history. do no longer pay to your score - that's ineffective. significant lenders like FHA and new vehicle dealerships do no longer look at them. They view your comments intimately and make their own judgements. in the event that they get the score is so as that they could provide it to you while they turn you down. /

I have not heard of one. The "free" reports are available only if you sign up for different services, which they charge you for.
