It's not me. It's my sibling. Beautiful children; reasonable in-laws - but the wife is of the most horrid kind! A control freak; a puritan; and a tyrant who always gets her way - and runs her husband etc. like clockwork!

Does anybody have something similar? Any survival tips - when you have to visit/ meet your 'estranged' family (because it's unavoidable, right?).

(Note: F.y.i. Jekyll is the good doctor; while Hyde is the monster.)

I don't think they change, I think when you date people are on there best behavior. Signs come out. Some choose to ignore those signs. People who are control freaks can not hide that well I am sure your sibling is aware of his wife.

I choose to be nice and distance myself. In my case when I visit and keep conversations light. I would have a relationship with my sibling one on one and keep the conversation of the marriage out of it.

properly come on there have been indicators... you in basic terms elect to forget approximately approximately them... I say this out of expierence... i'm a guy who had a spouse try this. The little alerts the place there yet i elect to look away be it the intercourse or different motives. So do not positioned all the blame on him. If im incorrect I ask for forgiveness in simple terms happening my own Mis Hyde. Do what i did get out collectively as you are able to and discover somebody who makes you happy.

Most people have two sides to some degree,
anyway.
Which might explain why so many people who
"move in together," never make it to the altar.

My ex-husband and my husband's ex-wife....
Also my ex-mother in law. I learned to drown her out when she was talking and politely smile and nod.
