Is it normal for a female dog not fixed to bleed real heavy ,to the point of wearing pads .and how long should this last and do they get pg after the bleeding or during .Thank you

I have a minpin weight about 20 to 25 pounds .This is her 4th heat .she is full blooded min pin ,Thank u '

yes this is normal .especially during the beginning of he heat cycle. they normally dont breed until the bleeding has stopped around 7 days from the beginning of her cycle and this breeding stage last for about 7 more days the last 7 days she will be going out of heat

It is normal, some dogs will spot more heavily than others. They are in heat during this time which lasts for about 7 to 10 days. They can get pregnant during that time, and their scent will be attracting male pup suitors with no scruples from all around the neighborhood so keep her locked inside untill this passes.

Not knowing the breed your asking about make answering this a bit tough, but with all my females it is not normal. I'd call the vet and have them check her out. As soon as you can get her in. I would not delay the vet visit.

Female dogs are a week coming in heat, a week in heat and a week going out of heat!

It is normal, my border collie did that, we had to use pads on her. If the heaviness don't stop within a few days then call your vet.

Heavy bleeding would not be normal.. .it could indicate that she has an infection of the uterus. Just take her to the vet asap!!

Yes, it's normal. They have two periods a year, each lasting about 3 weeks.
