Retirement Pension is paid to women aged 60 and the amount payable is governed by the number of 'stamps' on the 'card'. As you did work for some time before going to part time work, this will be taken into account but you will not get full pension based on a less than qualifying contribution.
You do not indicate whether or not you have a spouse, so I will not go there but, if after all circumstances are taken into account, your level of income is below the personal threshold and your ability to live within the income from Retirement Pension, you could make a claim for Income Support. When you get the forecast of your pension (get in touch some 6 months before you are 60) you will know and you will get help from DW&P on what you should do next. BYEEEEEEEEEEEEE

There is also an option once you receive your pension forcast. to begin making voluntary contributions towards your pension, on a weekly or monthly basis. you pay the Inland Revenue. they send out payment slips. they give you a payment plan.
