Well, My Son had a Medulloblastoma resected at age 4, followed by full dose radiation and 12 months of chemo. The tumor had very slight brain stem involvement so the neurosurgeon was aggressive at resecting it. It was a 5cm tumor. He had to learn to walk, talk and everything all over. But, he is 17 now. His balance is not the best, he is in special ed. He is happy and healthy. The radiation is what caused the learning deficits, but it also helped save his life.
