You have two good answers.

But.

You need to do some detective work, what is the cause of the problem? Do I have infection? If you can answer this two Q? then you can find the solution in a no time.

If infected you should see a doctor and get some anti biotic.

If you do not have infection, then go to pharmacy and try some over the counter nasal sprays, follow instructions, do not over use it or use it for prolong period.

Most sinus problem occur due to blockage of nasal passages, which prevents the sinuses from draining properly, so sooner or latter pressure build up, and the mucus starts to become toxic/laden with bacteria.

You must keep your nose clear and sinus drain to avoid problem with the sinus.

PS:
If you pin point the problem to particulate allergen then use air filter if possible or use face mask when possible.

Do steam inhaling every night for ten minutes before going to bed. After the steam, splash cold water onyour face to circulate the blood. There is an ayurvedic oil known as Shatbindu Tail. Put few drops each inside both your nostrils twice a day. It is bit irritating in the beginning but then you will get used to it. Quite effective. Do not go for any surgery. They will cut your nose and not your sinus.

If you Sinus Infection is bad go to the doctor. My wife had sinusitis and let it go thinking she could overcome it at home, and it caused some pretty major medical issues. On the flipside, if its really not that bad you might be able to ride it out with sinutab, breathing in some hot steam (aka over a bowl of hot water or in the shower), and using a saline nasal mist to try and loosen things up.

i'm not sure of any really good treatment, but you can try running a cool mist humidifier in your bedroom at night and also try hot and cold compresses on your face! That always works for me when I have a sinus infection!

Sinus can be controlled if meditation based on self-realization is done for half an hour in the morning and evening for three to five months.

Get a Neilmed kit at the local drug store. It is a saline rinse for your sinuses. Do this every day and it will help you with your allergies and sinus problems. I use it and it has helped me significantly.

Salt water is good and onions in a pan of water on stove top helps as it puts the steam in the air.
