You're never too old to get orthodontic treatment. People as old as 50 get braces nowadays. You should get them, if you need them. Better now than later. : ]

People usually wear their braces for about 2 years. That's how long I'm in for, anyway. But it really depends on your case. Everybody's different.

Instead of getting traditional metal braces, you can get invisalign. It's like a clear retainer, but it tends to be more expensive than traditional braces. Some people cannot get invisalign because their case is more complicated. Talk to your orthodontist to discuss your options. Or if that's not an option, you can get lingual braces that go behind your teeth. Nobody can see them except if they look inside of your mouth.

Just think, when it's all over, you'll have a gorgeous smile!

I'm in my 30's and I have them. How long they stay on will depend on what the problem is. I have had mine on for 15 months and they come off in 2 weeks. I have clear, ceramic braces which make them less noticeable, you might want to try that option. You will happy you did it. I am very happy even though it's been difficult at times. Soon I will have lovely smile for the first time in my life! See your dentist to discuss your options. You can only get the basics from yahoo answers, an expert needs to see your teeth to help you properly. Good luck

You are never too old to get braces. I am 24 and I am getting my braces on at the end of the month. Its never to late to have that perfect smile. How long treatment will take depends on your bite. I will have to keep mine on for 2 years. You might even be a candidate for invisalign. I have been doing lots of research on the internet and here is a link to a great site for adults with braces. I wish you the best of luck.

No, it's not too late. at the least you would have them 2 years. Then retainer if you have an overbite.
