I have naturally thick curly/wavy hair and on special occasions when I'd like striaght hair I start by blow drying my hair using a serum and a blow dry cream then I use a heat defence spray and hair straighteners on it and finish with a drop of serum on top.It is straight then but only for a while, when I go outside it frizzes back up not even in the rain? How can I prevent this and get it to stay straight all night?

make sure your hair is DRY when you iron it.
make sure it gets hot enough. some don't get hot enough for thick hair.
use smaller sections (pin up any not being ironed) and iron slowly.
use an antihumectant - humidity will cause hair to curl up again.

when you blow dry make sure you blow dry with a brush, pulling ever so slightly , and the flat iron after flat ironing follow with a slight hold spray and serum and wrap it at night

If possible, sleep with your natural, clean, state of hair. Style when awake. Lather with hair gel and let dry. Dry time takes awhile.
