I agree with the others regarding advantage, I don't know the name of the stuff that my father-in-law uses, but you apply it to the animals skin. Get yourself some chicken, chickens eat ticks and will keep your yard tick free, range roaming chickens

Flea and tick collars never work. You need a good medication from your vet. Frontline is great and so is K9 Advantix. Also when you take the ticks off your dog make sure you dispose of them correctly. I flush them down the toilet. I also put a dap of anitbotic cream on each spot where I took the tick off.
Keep your grass cut on the low side and there are sprays to you can get to to kill the ticks in your yard and in bushes.

You should contact your vet for a good anti-parasitic medication. If your dog is getting that many ticks on her, and she is bringing them in your house, it could be a health hazard for you and your family. Ticks carry a lot of infectious diseases that can harm us as well as the dog.
There are medications that you can put on the skin between the shoulders that will kill the ticks everytime one bites her. Or you can use natural cures. But take care of it before you have an infestation.
