Hi I want to take my girlfriend away for a nice weekend maybe like a little cottage in the UK or Southern Ireland just me & her miles away from anywhere. I just need some ideas of where to go & it will be a suprise for her. Any advice is welcome & many thanks!

Why not take her up to Scotland? It's beautiful up here! Especially the Highlands and the West Coast. The Isle of Skye is also gorgeous and would recommend there. Some coastal towns/villages have holiday lets for any amount of time so although you're not in the middle of nowhere, you can still enjoy stunning beaches and scenery.

You can't wrong with the Lake District, or anywhere in Devon or Cornwall. I had a week in Cornwall in a converted barn (with four poster bed) for my honeymoon over 12 years ago. It was amazing.

Visit WWW.Powells.co.uk. they have a great choice of cottages all over the country.
I would say the Welsh Countryside or Devon and Cornwall coast would be lovely.

they have some beautiful cottages in cornwall, england especially in the small villages like loue. hope she likes your surprise and you sound really nice! can i come too!
