GROW UP, and take the father of your child with you, to tell your mother together.
Then marry the guy so your baby will have a real father.

I am really sorry to hear that your mother might react that violently... Take someone (not boyfriend) with you to tell her and try to make her see that she can either be a loving and supporting grandma, or that she is going to be kept out of your life for your and your families sake.... Tell her that you understand her objections and ask her if she can think of any good sides to having a kid at a young age. I think you will do wonderfully with your child and you can always say: mum, i turned out ok too... don't worry so much... I wish you the very best!

Definitely have a sit-down discussion with her. It's more than likely she won't go there with the knife (lol). She probably will express disappointment because of your boyfriend, but she is your mother and should know about your pregnancy as soon as possible. You will see, she can be your biggest supporter.

I am sure your mom will not be shocked. Your are 20 years old, you have been with your boyfriend for 2 years. She knows the possibilities of this happening. Just tell her slowly, and gently.

Write her a note and explain how you feel about it. Give it to her personally and then call her later and ask her if she read it and arrange to discuss it when you see each other and take your boyfriend with you. This would also be a good time to explain to her your future plan if you have one. Good luck!

Well, you're a woman now, and she can't do anything about it. If you wish, don't tell her; let her find out later, and maybe it will dawn on her that she should grow up herself and face the realities. You didn't turn out exactly the way she wanted you to.

Be ADULT about it. Be realistic, of course she's going to be dissapointed. You took the same path as her. Your mom is entitled to her feelings. Their just as valid as yours. The only thing to do is keep the lines of communication open.

maybe you should contact a hotline for help. they can help break the news to your mum for you.
or you could try telling her about it calmly. tell her you're sorry, but the deed is done and to give you support because she's your mother and who else is supposed to support you?
Good Luck.
=)
