my boy suffers really bad migraine attacks.he has been to gp cuontless times to no avail .we have tried cutting out coffee,coke etc.many is the time he has had to come home early from work.he has now lost his latest job,industrial painting due to this.sometimes he goes out to play pool but returns after only one pint to be heard being sick all night.any tips please

I have suffered from Migraine attacks since I was 8 years old now 49, believe me I have tried everything on the market, to no avail. I sometimes take 2paracetamol every 4 hours for about a week sometimes it does work sometimes it does not but it may be worth a try sometimes prevention is better than cure. I also find solpadiene soluble one of the best painkillers got to be soluble though I try and not take too many incase my body gets used to them and does not work. He needs to cut out the alcohol also. try adding in the caffine a little at a time. Caffine is one of the things in the Migraine medication. how much water does he get in a day??? That can be a big factor. Drink plenty of water. It can't hurt and you know that you need it.

Have him go to his doctor and ask for Imitrex or Zomig. Both are great migraine helpers. They need to be taken at the beginning of it otherwise they do less.
