For those who bash people of other religions, or of no religion, doesn't it ever get old? I mean, do you not get tired of it, and don't you want PEACE for once???

Can't we all just get along??? LOL, yeah that's such a cliché, but for real, isn't everyone sick of the insults already?

As for funny questions/answers, I'm not talking about these. Long Live TWSIDR! Long Live Corky! Long Live Anger Management, lol! People like this, they're fine in my book, downright funny. I'm talking about the real venom here, the ones who spew hatred.

Really you guys, get a grip! Be nice!

Okay, we may not agree on theology (or the lack thereof), we may not agree on whether church and state should be separate, we may not agree on a lot of things.

But reallly, that's no excuse for bad behavior. C'mon y'all, let's behave like adults and be courteous. Everyone answering this question has been cool, and I really appreciate that. Now, let's take this level of maturity and apply it to the other questions from people that you don't agree with.

If you wanna convince people of your beliefs, you attract more flies with honey than with vinegar.

I agree with you completely on this one. It does get old. I think there is good in most religions and everyone should be able to respect the good in everyone and agree to disagree when necessary.

Friend in my 37 yrs. as a Christian, the others don't want peace, Oh yes, they want us to shut up so they can talk longer, but I don't even talk to anyone about Christainanity unless I am ask something. And The first 2 yrs of my early Christian walk, yes I was Zealous, But In 37 yrs. You learn to speak & to keep silent. & You also learn to discern what a person line of thought is when asking a question, many don't realize that they twist a question around in 2 to 3 different ways, Until you don't know what to say or how to say it, But I have learned all those tricks they put out there, I think in my 37 yrs. of being a Christian, That God has given me some wisdom.

I like to learn about world religions. I find them interesting. Yet I have never had the urge to convert. I am Catholic and am completely content with my faith. I like to teach others about Catholicism. My parents raised me Catholic yet I'm finding that they don't know much about it, they just blinding accept what their parents taught them. I respect that but personally I want to know what the Catholic Church's history is and teaches before I commit to that.

I agree that insults are not necessary Each religion is to be about love and insults and threats do not show love. I think God had a sense of humor and some comments are ok and not necessarily rude. Some people are too sensitive. But I personally don't like it when people say Jesus was gay because He was always hanging out with 12 guys. Saying He was married to Mary is fine with me. I don't agree with it but it's not as rude as the Son of God being gay. Many Christian say Muhammad was a child molestor. That's strong statement but in all honesty he did marry an 8 yr old and slept with other young children. The one thing I don't like is using foul language. Religions of love don't have followers that use foul language.

I agree. I thought this section of Q&A would be about people really seeking answers instead of throwing insults.

Guess this is the spirit that is in the world now. So sad.

As long as their are wrong question and answer appearing on yahoo Q and A and as long as this corner is still existing, nobody will stop to convince you to the truth.

Yes it does get old. And, so, I no longer give any answers to those that ask questions that assume that my beliefs are totally wrong or belittle me and my religion. OK, I gotta grip !!!

I try to ignore those who mock or "spew hatred" as you wrote. They are trying to fill some void within them that we cannot fill, and we must leave them to the urgings of the Spirit.

I will stop when
- bigoted morals are no longer tolerated (see _some_ christians and homosexuality)
- creationism is dead, buried and fossilised (ha!)
- the church stops trying to encroach on the state (see separation of church and state), not just in the US but in many countries.
