If it's what's on the inside that counts why are almost all models who are advertising the products us women are going to buy thin and almost every little part of their body is perfect? It is what's on the inside that counts but that will never be realized until we can look into a magazine and see a girl who does not have perfect skin and is a little overweight modeling the clothes. It's all because of the media that girls have this idea put into their heads of what is perfect. I mean think about celebrities and how many guys fawn over celebrities like Jennifer Lopez and Beyonce who have perfect figures and then think of the things they advertise I mean so many people would like to look like them so they would by the things they are selling in a instant.

Double standards its not. Woman know that beauty comes from within but it is single minded blokes that knock are confidence so the make up and beauty products are like a mask to protect are inner beauty.X

To be honest if all the men in the world went with "its whats inside that counts" we would all be a lot happier. But the truth of the matter is men don't go out with ugly girls, they don't fancy them, they don't care! I personally agree with the why do they spend loads of money. I only own the basics and i only wear it on nights out.

It is what is on the iside that counts but most men won't take the time to know what is on the inside if the outside is not attractive. Not a double standard but shollow men

The real is that people judge by appearances. the ideal, which women don't give up on, is that what's inside counts. No double standard... just wish versus reality.

They are hedging their bets, just in case they messed up their mascara.

I have to say, it does seem a waste of money to shell out on beauty products when the opposite sex is usually so pis*ed that we'd fancy a camel.

.....but that's not really the point, is it Stuart? ....fact is, we will quite happily squander our student loans on fags, booze and drugs in the first week - and then go off on one about girls wasting their wedge on......er.....beauty products.

When it comes to doubles, mate, whether they are vodkas or standards, let's face it - we do 'em better...

Beauty is a quality present in a thing or person that gives intense pleasure or deep satisfaction to the mind, whether arising from sensory manifestations, a meaningful design or pattern, or something else. The subjective experience of "beauty" often involves the interpretation of some entity as being in balance and harmony with nature. This leads to powerful feelings of attraction and emotional well-being.A common idea suggests that beauty exists in the appearance of things and people that are good. A good apple will be perceived as more beautiful than a bruised one. Also, most people judge physically attractive human beings to be good, both physically and on a deeper level. Specifically, they are believed to possess a variety of positive traits and personality characteristics. The characterization of a person as “beautiful”, whether on an individual basis or by community consensus, is often based on some combination of inner beauty, which includes psychological factors such as personality, intelligence, grace, and elegance, and outer beauty, which includes physical factors, such as health, youthfulness, symmetry, averageness, and complexion. common way to measure outer beauty, as based on community consensus, or general opinion, is to stage a beauty pageant, such as Miss Universe. Inner beauty, however, is more difficult to quantify, though beauty pageants often claim to take this into consideration as well.Beauty has inspired humans throughout history, but the quest for beauty has also led to plastic surgery and eating disorders.Therfore they spend on plastic surgery and cosmetics in order to enhance their beauty to attract someone.Too much emphasis on superficial beauty can undermine the importance of the inner person. It can become an arbitrary value that leads to social inequity.Dont you judge someone by their appearance too? Most of us do.That is why women spend hundreds of dollars just to please others and themselves.

i thought it was because well, guys dont wear make up so they think it will make the guy feel better to tell them that its whats inside that counts. but then when they are going out for a date they just feel scared about what will happen to them if they dont wear make up, they feel that they have to set a standard on what to wear or have a bad feeling in there stomach that they will get hurt or the guy will ask them why they arent wearing make up.
its like they need it for comfidence or something.
xx
