We spent a little less than $11,000 on the wedding and honeymoon. We got married in a church, had 6 bridesmaids, 6 groomsmen, a flower girl, ring bearer, and 160 guests. The reception was at banquet hall with an open bar. We went to a resort in Mexico for 6 nights.

We splurged on the bigger things that people would notice, like the reception site. But I cut a lot of costs by making things myself and skipping other things altogether. For example, we had a cake with three flavors, but no church decorations.

We were married in Jan of 2006 in TN. We spent about 3000 bucks... including travel expenses, lodging, food, formal wear, rings, and the chapel. I have the most beautiful wedding pictures and everything else that people pay way up in the thousands of dollars for without that fee. The $3000 included the honeymoon too.

There are many ways to cut costs on a wedding. We are planning on spending about 3k. That would include place, music at reception and reception. It is a package deal where you rent a riverboat, you get it for 4 hours. Drinks at the reception can be costly if you have an open bar. If you get friends and family to prepare food for reception that can save money. It mostly depends on your personal taste and what kind of wedding you want. I wish you the best of luck.

We spent 2,000-2500 total on our wedding coming up in a few weeks. It doesn't have to be a fancy day that will leave you in debt as you start your new life. As long as the 2 of you are happy thats the most important thing. Try using family members and future in laws talents to help cut cost, thats what we did.

We tried to do it for 15,000 but it looking like 20,000 now and that's for a small community center with a cater for 150 people. I am crazy though and I included every little thing in my budget like if I spend $1.00 on the wedding, I write it down. I find that most brides don't include every cent- and say their wedding was cheaper then it really was.
I go on theknot.com and it really helps you keep track of all the little things.

I'm planning to spend around $5000. I have been able to cut some corners and save money on some things. My dad makes wedding cakes, so that saved me about $500. My furture mother in law caters, so that helps a lot too!!

We had a wedding that we did on the cheap. A friend made our outfits and we only had to pay for the materials. $100. We bought a cake for $100. We paid the minister $100. We paid for two hotel suites at a convention where our friends were anyway. $300. We bought memberships for my family. $200. And we bought $300 worth of pizza and made our own punch for $100.

Between 15 thousand to 20 thousand dollars. I want a large wedding, and we both have lots of family and friends so the big chunck of money will be going to the sit down dinner.
