Actually it is not really plucking. The matter is sometimes when I just pull very gently or rub my eyebrows softly with my fingers, I will end up seeing 2 or 3 eyebrows on the fingers and sometimes I did it unconsciously when I was reading. Is there any bad effect to the eyebrows with this kind of behavior of mine and why are the eyebrows plucked off so easily?

One more thing, just out of curiosity, is there any way possible to thicken eyebrows?

Thanks for your responses.

Well, I didn't pull or pluck it. It just happened when I simply rubbed it.

For the thicken part, I'm not into any make up lol... But thanks for the responses.

Rubbing your eyebrows is probably a form of self comforting. It can become a soothing habit and one that you do without thinking about it. The only problem with it is if you start to notice too many of your eyebrows falling out. The wear and tear on them, even gently might be causing the hairs to fall out sooner than they would.

That shouldn't be permanent however and the eyebrows will probably grow back.

It can be difficult to break habits but maybe you could try to be more concious of when you are doing this and because you are then aware of it, try to keep your hands busy with something else.

All the best! <3

Hair grows in cycles. Eyebrows grow for about 4-5 weeks and fall out as a new one grows in its place. Hair on the head does the same thing, only it grows for years at a time. Just as we lose a few hairs everyday in a brush, eyebrows can fall out as your rubbing them. As long as you are not losing more than a few at a time and there are no bald spots, don't worry. Make sure you are not pulling or rubbing them excessively. There really aren't any good ways to make them thicker besides expensive hair transplant surgery. You can only make them look thicker with cosmetics.

maybe the hair you see falling out are just hairs that were loose anyway and going to fall out soon. You shed eyebrows just like you shed head hair.

The fact that you are touching your eyebrow when you see a hair fall out may make you think that the hair loss was related to you touching them but it probably wasn't... unless you're REALLY pulling on them which would hurt.

i'd say your hair loss is normal. when girls run their hands through their long hair they almost always end up with a piece of shedded hair in their hands. it's not that they pulled it out or that it fell out because they touched it... it just happens.

People loose eye lashes all the time too, especially after rubbing your eyes. same deal. i wouldn't worry too much unless you know that you are actually pulling them out and you can FEEL the hair being plucked out (which would hurt).

if you want to make your eyebrows thicker i suggest using an eye lining pencil or an eyebrow pencil in a color a shade darker than your natural eyebrow color to fill them in. When drawing on them use many short strokes to create the illusion of hairs.

It sounds like you have a habit going on there. If i rub my eyebrows i will usually see 1 or 2 come off too. Rubbing hair will lead to baldness. This is because it puts stress on the hair and its root. I know a kid who gets so immersed in his homework he twists his hair. He has some severe bald spots all over his head. The first way to try and thicken your eyebrows is to stop rubbing them. Get yourself a stress ball or worry/pray beads or something you can play with to take the stress off your brows.
Good luck.

I'd say that the lip would be a much better choice than the eyebrow. Lip would look a lot better.

Keep plucking buddy and you won't have to worry about thick eyebrows. You are going to end up tattooing an eyebrow like the girls do.
