Go to tools, then 'unprotect' then enter the password you used to protect it.

Edit: That's what I do in 2003. In earlier versions, I think you have to go to format, then under the style option, it should offer you the protection option.

go to TOOLS / PROTECTION / UNPROTECT SHEET

you may need a password if one was created when the sheet was protected

If the whole file is protected you'll need the password from the creator.

Tools
Protection
Unprotect Workbook
Enter password is there was one, else leave blank
