In total there should be a total of 12 connections on the radio assuming it is the standard factory fitted Phillips unit, excluding the aerial. The are colour coded as follows :-
Black - earth
Purple - fuse F12
Red/black - fuse F8
Light Green/white - fuse F17
Yellow/pink & Yellow/black - left front speaker
Orange/pink & Orange/black - right front speaker
Grey/pink & Grey/black - left rear speaker
Blue/pink & Blue/black - right rear speaker
On the speaker connections attach the wires with pink tracer to the + speaker terminal.

I'm not on my home computer right now but if you email me later. I can give you a website to go to, it has the factory colors fore every make and year of car that they had radios in it.

dont know about a rover, but the usual standard is

red................live
orange..........switched live
yellow............illumination
black.............earth
blue...............remote
all other colout pairs are speakers + & -
