So you have a problem with the US scrapping old designs for ones better suited to sitting on a shelf for 50 years? We are coming up with new bomb designs that make the bomb better at -Doing Nothing!
Now contrast this with Iran - who openly talk of using those weapons for genocide.
A gun in the holster of a cop does not worry me - a gun in the hands of a criminal lunatic does.

Actually, it is not just President Bush...the UN (even though they are pretty useless) wants N. Korea & Iran to stop enrichment as well! Do some research before you bash our President. Everyone is entitled to their opinions, but you should really try to gain some knowledge before you randomly post ignorant questions.
By the way, only countries which have gone through the proper steps to enrich uranium can have Nuclear capabilities (for power or weapons). There are programs, inspectors, international laws, etc. that you have to go through and follow to start enriching uranium. That's why Bush & the UN are upset-they (Iran) obtained the uranium illegally and have refused countless times to allow inspectors in. This is exactly what we saw in 1980 in Iraq. Illegal uranium enrichment. There are international laws prohibiting this and guess what happened to Iraq? Israel bombed the crap out of them! I hope Israel will do it to Iran because Lord knows the UN won't stop them! And we know for a fact (right out of Adamadjinebad's mouth {or whatever his name is}) that one of the first things he wants to do once they have a weapon is Nuke Israel! "Wipe Israel off the face of the map"
Homicidal loonatics should not be allowed to have the big guns-if we allow that we are all doomed.

there is not any logical reason that Iran could end that is nuclear software. they're flexing their muscle and could to the international and exhibiting them they do no longer bow to the calls for on the U. S.. The President of Iran hasn't genuinely made any threats against the rustic of Israel. the U. S. media is such an utter failure at appropriate informing human beings of the fact of this occasion and purposely mistranslated his words to extra wholesome the time table of Israel. He in basic terms has reported that Israel could under no circumstances have been created as a rustic and he's genuine. Iran is maximum possibly justifiably frightened approximately an attack from Israel, a rustic who genuinely has nuclear weapons in spite of their refusal to admit it or divulge how many they have and have not any qualms approximately wonderful Iran and are begging for an excuse to realize this. Pakistan could fall to Taliban rule alongside with the nuclear weapons we gave them, yet Iran a rustic that has genuinely carried out us no injury different than overthrow the dictator we put in and decide their very own government isn't without delay a severe possibility to us. Oh of direction the entire scholars taking the embassy hostage difficulty back in seventy 9, which maximum human beings do no longer even understand the entire tale on, regardless, they're no possibility to us.

and u really believe that Iran is developing nuclear capabilities for peace purposes? Iran has always been a terrorist sponsoring nation and nuclear capabilty would be used to further their boundaries and control most of the middle east.
Even worse some mad cretin (and they have many - just look at their president Ahmadinejad) could use them on Isreal who in turn would sow mushrooms (nuclear ones) all over the middle east.
I have no qualms in moderate Islamic countries having WMD but I do have a problem if Iran has them.

If you really have thought about a world where North Korea, Iran, (and inevitably Venezuela) has nuclear weapons and are sure that's what you want then you must be living somewhere besides the United States.
Otherwise, your position comes from rhetoric by those who hope you react emotionally to everything around you.

The US cold war stock of nuclear missiles has been reduced drastically...so no hypocrisy there...and are you arguing that those countries should be able to enrich uranium from heavy water reactors and make nuclear weapons? Are you arguing fortheir right to have nuclear weapons. Do you know what they would have done had they had them? They would have gunned for us trying to find any way possible of sneaking a nuke into one of our cities...I HOPE this is not what youre doing are you?
I do not agree with the idea expressed by Scott T though...the only way to top this problem with Arab strife is genocide.........

How do you figure? Israel is no threat to us. The others are avowed enemies. Get a grip and think about it for a minute. If you want nuclear proliferation for everyone, you are not thinking, just parroting. Bush is doing it. Do you really believe that he makes every decision in the government? There would have to be 10 ov him working 24 hours a day. Grow up.

As unfair as it seems iran and their ilk support groups like hamas and other groups that would have no issue what so ever blowing up a bunch of innocent people. If you disagree just look at hamas tactics in their recent rift with israel. Park a missle launcher in a hospital parking lot is poor form and is only done to A: Kepp it safe.
or B: Get your enemy to accidently hit the hospital. If hamas were as caring as they claim why would they put their own people in the line of fire?

Iran recently hanged a 16 year old girl for being raped and pregnant for "crimes against chasity". The rapists are still free.
Iran should not be allowed to play with matches or sharp objects.
This is something good Bush is doing.

That's fine with me. I'm not a Bush fan by no means, but I would rather him have nukes than Iran or any other country who constantly threatens to eliminate an entire race of people.
