I asked the question a few weeks ago about how best to tone up thighs. I lead a healthy lifestyle, go to the gym 3-4 times a week and run / jog for 2.5 miles (only just started running) twice a week. I eat healthily most of the week, although tend to indulge in fast food and a few alcoholic drinks (malibu and diet coke) on a Friday night. I have a sit down job from 7.45 - 4.30 5 days a week. I am about 10 stone 5 which is an ideal weight for my 5ft 9" height, so am not worried about weight.

I am going on holiday in 6 weeks and really want to tone up my thighs fast. Everything else has now toned up nicely, and although I am starting to see a change in my thighs, I really want to concentrate on them now until the holiday.

Please please please can someone tell me the best way to work my thighs really hard for the next 6 weeks so that I have lovely toned thighs on holiday. The gym only has a leg press, doesnt have any other leg or thigh weight machines, so any alternatives?

Hi, what you're already doing will help, but also try doing some squats and lunges as these really target your thighs. Don't try and do too many to start with as they can really make your legs ache afterwards and don't do them every day or you won't be able to walk!

If your prepared to do it running up stairs is the best for your butt and thighs but obviously challenging, even a step up, you know the ones they use in aerobic videos you can do that at home in front of the tv if ya want, bicycle riding or gym bike, squats has been mentioned, anything that makes your legs to right angle of your body ( L )shape, hope you know what i mean. Walk of an evening after dinner (if safe to do so in your area), even just a 20 min walk around the block each morning or evening. Have fun hope you're looking hot for that holiday..

Squats and lounges with weights, also try doing feet together jumps up on a farly high step up board. Another one that is good is to get a high step up board and stand on one side of it (the long side next to you) and one foot up on the board jump up and swop feet and down on the other side. Try to get some hight when you are up on the board. Also, try to just touch down on the floor and then up again. Really works the thighs.

there is not any such difficulty as spot reducing. So- in case you attempt to eliminate the fat around your thighs- exercising your thighs is not extra effectual than exercising the different muscle. 118 lbs sounds incredibly skinny to me. some curves are pleasing. do in basic terms the workouts you take exhilaration in the main, and love your physique the way it particularly is. you will in all probability under no circumstances appear as if those fashions on television.

I don't know if it would be the best but (horses) sprinting back and forth from point to point would be good. Although it works kinda all of your leg and some of your stomach.
