YOU DON'T!!!! You sit there and hold her and let her cry till it is all gone. Then you listen to what is going on to make her so unhappy. When she is ready to move on she will let you know by moving away from you, saying something funny, or thanks you for being there and listen.

By holding her and telling her you're sorry. Those are the only words that matter when she's crying. You are sorry she is hurt. If you are a compassionate person, crying with her is fine, go ahead. It makes a woman feel cared about. Then if she wants to talk, simply let her and listen. That is the loving way to care for people.

listen to her. Don't agree to everything she says but help her find the good and the bad in the situation. Let her make the decision of her out come and you support her. That always works best for me. Never distract people from their emotions. You never know the damage it could do on the inside. Best thing to do is to talk.

You can't distract someone from crying unless they are an infant. The only thing you can do is be there for them for however long it takes them to get it all out.

Give her a small hug if you are close to her, and whisper in her ear that you are there for her if she needs you. Sometimes the BEST FRIEND is the one who just stands by and says nothing. Just being there for her means more then you would ever know.

let her cry it out..and for god's sake don't say stupid stuff like..yeah i know how you feel..because she knows this is crap and self serving for you and only she knows how it feel..
just let her wail and cry and then just be their for her..she needs to vent her anger/disgust/whatever./ men just get drunk or get another women quick to sow their wild oats..then they just move on
