"Our Father in the heavens, let your name be sanctified. Let your kingdom come. Let your will take place, as in heaven, also upon earth. Give us today our bread for this day; and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And do not bring us into temptation, but deliver us from the wicked one." - Matthew 6:9-13
“Our Father in the heavens, let your NAME be sanctified.” (Matthew 6:9).
This means that God has a name - Jehovah.
God’s name, Jehovah, appears nearly 7,000 times in ancient Bible manuscripts. However, some translators have gone so far as to remove this name from their versions of the Bible. Rightly, therefore, we pray for our Creator to sanctify his name, or make it holy. (Ezekiel 36:23) One way to act in harmony with such a prayer is to use the name Jehovah when we pray to God.
“Let your KINGDOM come. Let your will take place, as in heaven, also upon earth.” (Matthew 6:10) .
Jehovah’s prophet Daniel foretold: “The God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be brought to ruin. And the kingdom itself will not be passed on to any other people. It will crush and put an end to all these [earthly] kingdoms, and it itself will stand to times indefinite.” (Daniel 2:44) This heavenly Kingdom, or government, will soon take action to bring about global peace under righteous rule.—2 Peter 3:13.

This reminds that the word "evangelize" literally refers to "good news". What does the bible teach that the "good news" concerns?
Jehovah's Kingdom by Christ Jesus!
(Matthew 24:14) And this good news OF THE KINGDOM will be preached
Again and again, Jesus himself quite plainly taught that the "good news" that must be preached concerns God's Kingdom government.
(Matthew 4:23) [Jesus] went around throughout the whole of Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and preaching the good news OF THE KINGDOM [emphasis added]
(Matthew 9:35) Jesus set out on a tour of all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and preaching the good news OF THE KINGDOM [emphasis added]
(Mark 1:14-15) Jesus went into Galilee, preaching the good news of God 15 and saying: “The appointed time has been fulfilled, and the KINGDOM of God has drawn near [emphasis added]
(Luke 4:43) [Jesus] said to them: “Also to other cities I must declare the good news OF THE KINGDOM of God, because for this I was sent forth.” [emphasis added]
(Luke 8:1) [Jesus] went journeying from city to city and from village to village, preaching and declaring the good news OF THE KINGDOM of God. And the twelve were with him [emphasis added]
(Luke 16:16) From then on the KINGDOM of God is being declared as good news [emphasis added]
The early disciples also preached, just as Jesus did and just as Jehovah's Witnesses still do.
(Acts 8:12) Philip, who was declaring the good news of the KINGDOM of God [emphasis added]
(Acts 13:32) And so we [Paul and Barnabas] are declaring to you the good news about the promise made to the forefathers
(Acts 15:35) Paul and Barnabas continued spending time in Antioch teaching and declaring, with many others also, the good news of the word of Jehovah
Another question might ask, what kind of person would fail to understand the true and biblical nature of the "good news", and why?
(2 Corinthians 4:3-4) If, now, the good news we declare is in fact veiled, it is veiled among those who are perishing, 4 among whom the god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers

The Berean?
Please find an old KJ Bible 1611/1769 versions work... You will find Jehovah's name at Psalm 83:18, at least. There are other translations, older ones that also include Jehovah's name. The problem is the modern translations have eliminated the name and instead put in LORD. You'll find some translations even have either a mention in their forward or in an appendix where they acknowledge having done this.
Now about the problem with the vowels. What you say is true. Ancient Hebrew had no vowels. But, to use your logic, with respect, we wouldn't know how to pronounce Jesus' name either, or the names of any of the early prophets since all we'd get for example is Jss, or sh (for Isaiah). We don't know exactly how His name was pronounced back that. What do you think is more important tho, that we find a common pronunciation and use it respectfully and let a generic title like LORD obscure his uniqueness?
PS: Jesus M? The name Jehovah appears in old churches all over Europe, predating the modern day witnesses.
As I said above find older translations of the bible and you'll find the name in there as well.
and for a modern day look check out this link to the AMERICAN STANDARD VERSION for Psalm 83:18.... http://www.murtonsys.com/bibledatabase/htmlc/asv/psalms_83.html

Is this a question or just an attempt to prove how Jehovah's Witnesses put a patent on God's name? In no attempt to pop the elitist bubble, but Jehovah's Witnesses are not the only ones who use the name Jehovah. Although it is true that no one knows for sure how to pronounce YHWH correctly, Jehovah could indeed be a proper rendering. However, the New World Translation's erroneous insertions of this name within the New Testamant (where it does not belong) is what needs to be examined.

Luke Chapter 11, verse 2 to 4 --And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, OIur Father which ar in heaven. Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. They will be done, as in heaven, so in earth. Give us day by day our daily bread and forgive us our sins for we also forgive everyone that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.. This prayer was taught by Jesus to John and John also taught his disciples. Read Luke Chap 11 vewrse 1. Why are you changing the words in the bible? then you are telling that your God is Jehovah. You do not know the history of the Jehovahs witness. The founders of your religion just put the name Jehovahs so that there will be a name for God, because the do not know that the name of God is God. God is the name and no other word or no other name. Read the entire bible so that you may know and understand. Do not d epend on what your pastor have falsely told you. The bible should be your bases in your religon.

Gee I always thought it was Hallowed.
Our father who art in heaven Hallowed be thy name.
Seems like it's Hallowed not something else!
Take your shoes off moses for you are on Hallowed ground.
Maybe that's the connotation. No shoes No name
The God of Abraham, the God who has no name. The Jews can't even spell out GOD is has to be G-d, when they speak it's the Creator they often say.
So, we use PRONOUNS in reference a lot.

God has many names found within scripture. That the Jehovah's Witnesses don't know that - because none has ever studied from the original languages that the scriptures were written in and only listen to what others tell them.
My suggestion - personal study. For if you take the time to really study, you will find that each of the names help to understand just who God really is and what He can and will do.
That means that you are going to have to go outside of the group "Jehovah's Witness" for they are very lacking in this particular area of written material compared to all that they have printed.

Sorry, but God has many names it the Old Testament, but the one name He DID'NT have is Jehovah. Why? Because there is'nt, nor NEVER has been a "J" OR "V" letter or sound in the Hebrew Language. "Yahweh" does'nt count either, because we do NOT know what vowels belong with "YHWH". The closest personel Name God EVER gave to mankind is "I AM that I AM" which is of course the Name Jesus applied to Himself. Interesting, that the one name that Charles Taze Russell (the founder of your cult) chose to use as the name of his organization, was the one name that God never used. But then Mr. Russell had no training or education, and would'nt be expected to know that. ....theBerean....NOTE ADDED:. To Q&A Queen (below). Since you do now allow email, I'm going to address you misstatements here. 1) The KJV of ANY year is a TRANSLATION. Get it? The Name JEHOVAH has NEVER appeared in ANY ancient mannuscript. Its a MADE UP name from TRANSLATORS. Sheesh, I mean c'mon thats kid stuff. Also, OF COURSE Hebrew has VOWELS. Where did you ever get the idea that it doesnt? But the vowesl were never put with the "YHWH". NOBODY, not even the Jews know how it was ever pronounce, or even if it ever was. You might as well pronounce YHWH as JIHAVUH, JEHEVEH or any combination that you want. The vowels from the word for ADONAI (LORD) were added to make up the word YAHWEH. When the word ADONAI is used with YHWH, it is usally rendered as LORD GOD to keep from duplicating it as LORD LORD or GOD GOD. And Yes we do KNOW how JESUS or ISAIAH is pronounced. As I said there are vowels. Jesus is Y'shua and Isaiah as Esais.....Is it too much trouble to at least learn SOMETHING about the languages BEFORE making those kinds of statements. You are embaressing yourself.

Well said. Man has been ruling mankind for nearly 6,000 years and still we can't solve mankind's problems. Only God's kingdom will solve mankind's problems.
