is it ok for me to take it for two days in a row? i mean if i take 10mg the first day, and then on the second day when i take it again, will that reduce propranolol's effect? or will the dosage kind of add up and make me dizzy or something?

Sam doesn't know a thing - many actors take propanolol for stage fright because it reduces the effect of adrenalin. However it only take takes away the "butterflies in your stomach" feeling, you may still feel psychologically anxious.

Yes, two days should be fine. But stop immediately if you feel light headed. On the whole beta blockers are a fairly safe medication. Many people take them for years and in much larger doses than 10mg.

Remember, it will slow down your heart rate (I've seen some people get really dangerously slow) and make it not pump as hard, so unless you are cleared by a prescriber, this could be dangerous. Some people feel weird on beta blockers (my mom says she can't stay awake, and several others say they get wiped out trying to walk a short distance).

My advice is not to try this without medical supervision. All it takes is a phone call to your doctor's office.

It's ok to take it 2 days in a row. People taking the drug for blood pressure are on it for years. It should't make you dizzy unless you are having a bad reaction to it.

Propranalol is a beta adrenergic blocker. Apart from being useless for reducing stage fear, it renders your thyroxine ineffective and slows down metabolism., constrict your pupils, and prevents dark adoptation of eyes. It can precipitate Asthmatic attack if you are prone to asthma.
Don`t be smart. You are dealing with a drug.
