I'm not Oriental but lived in the Far East for five years, and have been to almost every Asian country. You will find huge diversity within Oriental people of every nationality. For example, go to Korea and you will find that many people say their strength (physical, mental) in derived from kimchi (spiced fermented cabbage) not rice.
However, I must say that I've lived with an Oriental person for a long time, and he is still in robust health despite eating a Western diet most of the time. For him, and many other Oriental people I know, including pastors, their spirituality seems to come from within, regardless of diet.
