You may not be able to translate a hindi poem to an english one word by word, but atleast you can translate the meaning of the poem and be in rhythem as well. It is the same that we do with the English poems, for example take Pussi Cat Pussi Cat where have you been......has been translated to Billi Mausi Billi Mausi, kahan rahi tum itne din.....
try it and work hard on it and you will get it soon.

Best to read poetry by some well known authors like Rabindra Nath Tagore and see how they did it.

You must the catch the essence of the thought process rather than a literal translation.

The teacher had given such assignment to one ex-hero of Hindi films. Teacher wrote in Hindi - "Aap to katle aam karte ho" He wrote in english - "You are making murder mango". Teacher wrote in english - "Do not put ciggaretes etc in urinal". He made translation in Hindi - "Krupaya cigarate aadi mutra nalika me na dalen". (Shatrugna Sinha)

There are many online translators that you can use, but ur best bet is to post it up and i can translate it to the best of my ablity, (which is not much help). Maybe that helps!
