A member of the Royal Family at the war! Same it has threatened, and chosen (Harry) as a target! Please! Think about it! The others soldiers aren't treated as an special target!

St Abbs what planet do you come from? I don't care that Harry is over there and you may think he is doing more than all us "moaners" at home. What is he actually achieving over there? Suicide bombings continue, basic services are still a shambles for the Iraqi people and the entire "co-alition" can't even guarantee safety in the capital city let alone the rest of the country.

Frankly I wish that he and all the other soldiers were actually back home here rather than fighting a war they can't win over there for no particular reason than our lap dog support of the US. Same goes double for all the poor sods over in Afghanistan. They are achieving precisely nothing, except for the continued flow of oil out of Iraq which is still below pre-war levels as well. In afghanistan they cannot even claim that debatable victory.

You cannot occupy a country innately hostile to you and your way of life, America should have learned from Vietnam, similarly Russia from Afghanistan and to a lesser extent Chechnya. Winning a war with massive technological and numerical advantages is easy, occupying it and keeping the peace after is much harder.

Despite my lack of support for the war Harry volunteered for a life in the army and so should go where his unit goes. That's military life for you, just a shame they get sent unnecessarily. I am sure all reasonable precautions for his safety will be made whether or not he deserves special distinction. Good luck to him, he is not shirking his responsibility.

according to danger the project isn't that he can't or won't combat on the fringe of his fellow squaddies yet that his being there might positioned each and each different person around him in extra danger. He may be the objective for each terrorist and basic group in Iraq. I think of having a member of the Royal kin as a hostage might appear like a sturdy bargaining gadget. it won't be sturdy psychologically for Britain the two to be attentive to he'd been captured. in simple terms because of fact he's a Prince does not unavoidably propose that he's in a position to make judgements on issues like this to any extent further than the different soldier....you're able to desire to desire he's taken care of an analogous and any judgements made approximately his holiday to Iraq have been made by potential of those in authority - the two over him and the army as an entire.

I think all soldiers are treated as targets in Iraq.
Harry is doing a lot more than all the moaners sitting at home whether he is cossetted in cotton wool or not.

It's a public relations master stroke..................
Harry will be protected 24/7 by a legion of SAS troopers. He will not be put in harms way but will probably end up being portrayed as the bravest officer in Iraq. He'll probably go out once...have a load of photographs taken of him in a tank...then the 'reporting' will stop and he'll disappear into the desert dust ..a thousand miles away from any action
There's lots and lots of things going on there which we never get to find out about. For instance we only hear about Iraqi suicide bombers killing their own people...we NEVER get to find out how many innocent Iraqi's are being killed on a daily basis by the coalitions forces. My sources tell me that innocent civilian deaths number in the hundreds of thousands.
Bombs and bullets will not bring this unjustified 'war' to an end.

this is the plan:
1. send harry to iraq; he will boost public support of the royals.
2. have him killed to put the P.R. damage of his illegitimacy to rest.
3. withdraw all the soldiers and have the story of the war be the bravery of the soldiers, not any trifling policy/morality concept.

the truth will be that harry is simply hidden safely for the rest of his life, alive and well.

how gripping this will all be on the colourful news networks

Cemetaries are full of soldiers, sailors and RAF as well. If harry goes why should he be given any special protection (he will be).
The insurgents dont know where he is in the country- but it wont take them too long to find out................ heads down ! INCOMING MORTARS!

why don't people get off the lads back at least he's showing guts going out there regardless if he's in the action or not and yes of course he's a bigger target than the other lads for the fact of who he is and what a pull if they could get their hands on him I just hope he and all the other lads get back here real soon

Royals in a celebrity driven world, why not?
Makes this mess even cosier.
By the way, the cemeteries are full with heroes anyway.

The other soldiers in his unit are probably already in a party mood - they are the only ones guaranteed to go back home alive.
