occasionally feel like a binge drinker lol

No doubt about it. Television is addictive, not much different than illegal drugs. The more television you watch, the more you feel that you can't live without it and you start to believe that you cannot be happy if you do not watch television for one day. Television can so easily take over you mind and virtually hipnotize you so that before you know it the entire day has passed and you've done nothing but watch t.v. Like any addiction, it is very hard to break the pattern. Basically, the television set seems to control us, instead of us controlling the television set. I agree with your idea of having support groups to help break the pattern. Talking to people about it is always helpful. I'm sure that are many people would join your support group, so you're definitely not alone. Good luck.

they don't help;they have a tv in the room where they meet.

no TV is not addictive but boredom is!!!
