How do you hear some farfetched stories and start wars over them. A christian will preach about how it's wrong to kill, then praise their son for being in the war........KILLING?? LOL Not only does the bible contradict itself......the people that believe in it do the same damn thing.
Silly christians-myths are for kids

** J. Sorry but atheism IS a choice. Your choice to believe in things with no evidence of their existence is also a "choice"

Religion has tradition, acceptablity and history. It evokes powerful mythological symbols and relates them to the simple struggles that all people experience, placing them in a context that highlights humanity and gives us special meaning. Why I do think that ultimately the supernatural beliefs of religions are superstition it does not suprise me that people cling to them. Jehova may be no more real than Zues and the like, but religious symbolism goes beyond just the names of deities. People pine hopes on faith, morality, the existence of this planet and the universe. I may not agree with the religious. But I do understand why religion is popular.

Maybe religions come and go, but you still will become independent of your body at the time of your death. Then you will go where there could be a godless type world. So you in effect won't be penalized for not realizing your spiritual self, you will just be in part responsible for your ultimate destiny in a realm where you can't get in touch with the spiritual side of life. This is be your outcome because this is the way you have chosen to use the powerful pro-creative force that creates, maintains, and which will ultimately will destroy the laws you have set in motion. You have to find a better method of soul survival.

Atheism is a belief not a logical choice.
If it clear from your brief description is that you have really never understood belief.
You believing that there is no God does not make it so.
Where did Jesus ever start a war or killed anyone? If you really followed Jesus you would not be preaching anything except the Christian message.
The bible interrupts itself. If there is a contradiction, you need to work the scriptures to clarify its meaning.

dino,
I read alot of the questions on society and culture and I notice you aloton here and I notice that you really seem to be down on christians, why?
If you choose to be athist, OK but why the anger and discrimanation against christians? I consider myself a christian person and I don't knock other peoples choices in religion or no religion I have been hurt by so called christians and non believers also but that doesn't make me down on all people Whats up with you?

That is what happens when people chuck reason and rational thought out the window as religious people do unfortunately.
Though they may be reasonable and rational in all other areas of their lives, religion demands that they drop reason and rationality when it comes to any issues surrounding belief and faith, it's irresponsible and childish behaviour.
Blind religious belief or faith deserves our scorn and deserves to be disrespected and sidelined by society.

Actually, the bible likes wars, read this:
**Matthew 10:34 'Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth.I have not come to bring peace but a sword'
**Luke 12:49 'I have come to bring fire to the earth and how I wish if it was blazing already'

I passed your message to some Catholic nuns and some Protestant prayer rangers for prayers. You should feel prayed for soon. Thanks for participating in a world that is way more religious than you think.
