It will be better to play 3 sessions a week instead of many times a day. Depending on the intensity, even 30 mins per session can be a straneous workout. Playing daily may not give your body enough time to recover especially if you are not fit to start with.
Start with a routine you can stick with. If you are currently not fit, take it slow and easy or else your muscles will ache for a week!As you get into better shape add to the intensity and duration of each session.
To lose weight you need to also control your diet too. Go for a low carbo diet and avoid carbos after 6 pm if possible. Remember also that alchohol is high in calories, so do control your boozing. Avoid soft drinks too, they go to your waist really quick!

badminton is a great sport! i played in in highschool n it really does give u a good work out. i cant say how many pounds u will lose cuz it all depends how long n how hard u play each day. it will definitely burn some calories. muscle is more dence than fat, so u will probably lose inches rather than actual pounds, but that is good bcuz muscle burns more calories than fat and the more muscle u have the more calories u can burn, ur metabolism will get faster, and u will look n feel great. plan on stretching a lot b4 u play. u said 4 times a day? everyday might not b good cuz u should give ur body some time to repair the muscles after ur work out. i would suggest aerobics targeting muscles u dont use as much in ur game on the days u dont play, and plan on doing it for more than a month if u want to see really good results

I'm not very good at badminton, but I've watched people who play it who are. Its an amazingly fast sport to watch when people play it well. I'd imagine you'd burn a lot of calories that way if you get good at it, but how many would depend a lot on you, as a previous answerer already said. Your current weight, metabolism, food intake, other exercise you undertake, and probably several other factors I have neglected to mention. Good luck with losing weight, and good luck with the badminton.

Eating habits are crucial, doesn't matter what sport, but the calories and all that however are, badminton, yeah ya move around, but tennis is better......but if you join the badminton club, talk to some of them that are in good shape, see what advice they can give you, if told so, stick to the routine and see what happens, not everyone is the same

Yes. I cannot say for sure how much, but any form of exercise will help reduce weight. Just make sure that it is a vigorous game and both sides make you run around the court. I love badminton, no clubs near me. SIGH!

you say you want to play 4times per day,but you don't say for how long . i do not advise you to play 4 times a day if you want to lose weight...you should play it 3/4 times a week, minimum one hour,if you want to see results...if you do this, and don't eat more than you usually do ,you should loose as much as4...maybe 5 kilos' (if you have a healthy diet,no fats! ...and jogg/walk/do something else in the other 3 days of the week)...if you only play badmington....and do it every dai...i think you'll feel the urge to eat more...and might gain weight instead of loosing it....good luck! ;)
