Raw... as everyone's saying, the nutrient will not be destroyed by the heat when you cook them. However, the farmer will use many kind of chemical to make sure the tomatoes look good, if you dont wash them properly, it doesn't matter you eat them raw or cooked. Your body will still absorb the poison. In addition, you will find that many tomatoes' epidermis look very nice, they can reflect the light, make sure u got them off before u eat them.

Canned tomatoes are also healthy. They are picked and canned at the peak of ripeness which is when they hold the most nutrients. If you live in a place where there is a winter climate and you are getting your produce trucked in from California, Texas or Florida (or Mexico or Chile) and the tomatoes are picked when they are green and they spend a week on a truck, something is used to make them turn red and they arrive hard and tasteless and cost an arm and a leg give me tinned tomatoes any day. Granted they can't be sliced and put on a sandwich but if I'm cooking sauce the tinned are healthy. I'll savor my fresh tomatoes when I can get fresh, locally grown and trust tinned as the healthier alternative the rest of the year.

Its great to eat a range of food cooked and raw, as some foods including tomatoes contain vitamins that the body cant reach if they are uncooked. But it is also great to eat them raw. So both is the answer.

Raw, when you cook things it reduces the amount of nutrients in it especially the good things. It's dangerous to eat things like raw meat but not tomatoes. Raw meat actually has more nutrients in it than cooked meat, but it is definitely dangerous to eat, unlike an apple, banana or carrot raw. Just be sure to rinse it before eating it.

Raw would be healthier as the vitamins are not destroyed by heat. But make sure to wash the surface of the tomato thoroughly to get rid of pesticides.
