i need to get the door pannels off to redo the material.

There is a tool sold, but if you dont want to by it there is another method. Take a rag and hold it against the door panel behind the part of the crank that you hold on to. Work the rag back and forth to get it between the door panel and the window crank. There is a clip in there that holds it on. As you move the rag between the crank and teh panel it will push the clip out. Just watch out because the clip will likely fly off and it is very small so it is easy to lose.

They either use a screw on the front or a U shaped spring clip behind the center part of the handle where the door panel meets the handle. If you push the door panel in by the handle you'll be able to see it. Auto parts stores have a tool to get it off,

dont worry about the tool a screw driverr will give the same result it just takes a small amount of persistence.......
