u gotta put some garlic in there! try the 4 spices u mentioned, and maybe throw in some steak sauce to give it some full flavor, not a lot but a good splash when its cooking. some people put cocoa in their chili as a "secret ingredient" just a scoop of the kind u mix w milk to make chocolate milk. if u wanna make it nice n spicy, toss in a couple of jalapenos or serrano chilies...yummmmm!

it is all to taste try different peppers or hot sauces (most are made from peppers) the biggest trick is to flavor the meat heavily (not overdoing it) before you add it to chili then the flavors spread from the meat as the juice does just a touch of garlic or one clove, some basil (remove if you can before serving) I have heard of a friend of mine trying tea and liking it he used black tea I haven't tried it myself yet there are more chili recipes than there are people in new york be creative

Add a little ground cinnammon with the cumin, parpika and chili and use some dried thyme too. This gives a nice blend of subtle flavours.

the secret to flavorful Chili is Cumin. you should upload a a million/2 teaspoon for extra zip. Have a mild hand, nevertheless, Cumin is an fairly flavorful spice. i could upload slightly garlic, too. A small volume of sugar will get rid of countless the acidity of the tomatoes and help "marry" the flavors. solid luck

I think fresh chillies are great to use if you dont mind chopping them (I use gloves) and cayenne pepper gives it a great kick. Also some bbq spices if you fancy it.
