I worked for one company for only about a month and I can't remember their name. How do I get that information so I can get my W-2 from them for my taxes this year? I have moved and will need to contact them to get it since they don't forward W-2's. I have searched the IRS site but haven't seen anything that would help me. I know the IRS can do my taxes for me, and they will have that information, but I haven't found that option on their site yet either. Any help appreciated.

The company is responsible for sending you a w-2. If they haven't (or you moved and they dont have your new address,) contact the IRS, or a tax preparer such as H and R Block. It may be that you didn't make enough at that job to have to report the income. Im not exactly sure how that works. If you call a tax preparer, Im sure they can answer the question. Otherwise...try REALLY hard to remember. :)

You need to kick your brain into high gear and remember the name of the company. The IRS can't even take your missing W-2 complaint without the name and address of the employer.

It's not on their site. You need to call them.Just let them know you need your W-2 forms for whatever year and they will mail it to you. It's ez.I just did it.Then go to 24hourtaxservices.com for prior years.Good luck:)
