Vista doesnt currently support all the hardware on my network, but I know XP does. I know microsoft had no problems with people running Windows 98 on pc's with a 2000 or xp license. Is it ok to run XP on a pc with a vista license?

actually a vista serial will not work for installing xp...the guy who answered first just doesn't know what he's talking about....last I checked microsoft wasn't actively marketing xp as a better alternative to vista

...if you use xp home edition cd you'll need any xp cd key along with the activation workaround

...if you go with xp pro disc then you'll just need a serial to get it going. It doesn't require activation but you might as well run the product key changer anyway so you can get the service packs installed.

the perfect issue to do is to envision for application you're requiring; jap application could be more often than not what i'm concerning with this. computer publishing isnt going to be confusing to discover, there are a range of courses out for both living house windows and OSX. i in my opinion construct my computers and at the moment run living house windows XP besides the undeniable fact that i became given a Macbook for Christmas and particularly like it over my usual computing device. The Mac is fairly ordinary to apply, looks swifter and is more suitable preserve. you only could do a touch study to make certain that you'll income from more suitable, yet i could advise the iMac in case you'll discover the application you require.

Yeah it's ok to run Windows XP. Actually, quite a few people are doing it for the exact same reason you are, and Microsoft knows this. As long as you aren't pirating it, Microsoft doesn't care which OS you use. Which is good at this point, with how blatantly incomplete Windows Vista is.
