Ask her what she did today.

Anything like new hair cut, -shopping, her sports teams, musical instruments, - anything she personally is interested in, - is a good place to start.

Then move to general topics she may be interested in, animal rescue, musical bands, moral causes, etc.

Finding something that is kind of random to respectfully disagree and playing devils advocate, I find, breaks the ice really well. Because, if a girl feels you can challenge and you aren't going to just agree with everything she says, you have a better shot. She'll find you more...personable I guess is the right word. Example: My ex and I lasted 8 months, and our first convo started by me arguing technicalities on if gymnastics is really a sport, and what constitutes a sport. But, she was a gymnast. So, make your own example.

Here are some possible options / ice-breakers:
- talk about hobbies / interests
- discuss career goals and wants
- mention family (not too much detail though !)
-Ask simple, open-ended questions
- ones that need a response longer than one word
- REMEMBER- Don't bring up sex or relations of that sort
- it is uncomfortable and appears desperate and creepy

-what her day was like
-ask more detail about something that she is wearing eg: nice earrings, it really suits you, would you say its your fave pair?
-compliment her
-ask her interests and fave stuff and if she rattles on about food then you should order her fave and try it and she should try your fave

Generally conversations link to certain things mentioned. Just take it as it comes because its meant to be fun not a schedule.

what does she want to do? expand on that what she want s to do in the future and for hobbies remember her favorite subject is her.. she can talk all day about that and be cocky and funny not rude always show interest and dont suck up worst mistake, she has to feel like she is chasing you to an extent, you are the prize. DONT SUCK UP.....

Tell me about your work or what is your favorite hobby and explain it to me.
These work for hours on end sometimes and the other person will love talking about themselves, less work for you!
