know he loves me and we are meant to be together, but he's 18..i'm 17.. he wants to go **** off and do whatever he wants while i wait til he's ready to settle down. I'm in college..he is last year in high school. What do I do?
He has an anger problem, and he wants everything to be about him. He proclaims his love to me, but has open-handed hit me before. Can I tame/deal with him, or should I move on ?

Please don't listen to the first couple of answers there! (Although now a couple more have been posted, and they've got it right.) If someone hits you, especially someone so young, that is a really bad sign. You should NEVER stay with someone who hits you, not for any reason. It will only get worse. It will not get better.
Even if this guy hadn't hit you, I would have said it was a definite move-on situation. Wanting you to wait while he does his thing until he's ready to settle down?! And then what if you did get married, and he decided you should deal with cheating because he was into that? No way. He can go do his thing, but let him do it without you. You're only 18. You have *plenty* of time to find a man who will appreciate you and treat you well. Just make sure you appreciate yourself, and don't let anyone disrespect you the way your ex-fiancé is trying to. You're better than that, and you deserve more---like someone who knows you're someone worth sticking close to and paying lots of attention to, not someone to put on the back burner while he samples all the other dishes to see if one's better! Know you're the best and take your tasty self elsewhere. :)

You said you are in college and he is still in high school, I think that where his anger come from, you are a girl and 17 years one year younger then him "girls are not suppose to be more smarter than boys" that what boys say. I know that because I am working and my boyfriend is not he is always angry with me, but when we were both not working there were no problems.
