Hey John,

The National Archives of Malawi seems to be an odd site, and it is still under construction. The Second site says that Malawi has poor records keeping. Good luck with this one.

The third site is for African Vital Records, via African American genealogy researchers efforts. They say it is like looking for a needle in a haystack.

I am not being clever her, but have you tried Malawi? If you are referring to colonial times, the check the foriegn Office Website for where to look.
