Because christians cant leave others alone. Stop trying to legislate your religion and stop showing up at my door attempting to spread your disease and you'll get no problems with me.

Why is there so much animosity towards Atheists?
Why can't people just leave Atheists alone if they don't agree with their ways? Why the animosity?

Thanks Friend------you are 100% right-----however this fervent animosity against Christians has been foretold in prophecies.-----the scriptures do state that in that day 'they' (speaking of all the non Christians) will think they are doing the world a favor by eliminating you.------as we grow closer to that final hour Satan knows his time is limited and he goes about like a roaring lion seeking who he can destroy, and he also likes to confuse people and will use them (often without the persons knowledge) as pawn is his game of confusion and destruction.--------here's the thing----we all know something is up-----something is soon to happen----it's in the air----we all sense it-----we just don't know what----------or do we?---we do is we get into and study the scriptures----it's right here for all to see----let him who hath ear-----hear.---------make no mistake-------these things SHALL come to pass..many folks think this is only in the book of revelations---------------wrong--------the prophets Daniel and Issiah got into quite detail and so did Jesus himself----read the book of Luke.

I am a christian, I understand what your saying but for that to happen all would believe in Jesus.
When Jesus walked the earth he was persecuted and so was all his Disciples and we can't be any better than they were.
Jesus said the world hated him and if we follow his ways the world would hate us too, So when you get animosity or persecuted for believing in God know that it is because Jesus lives in you and take JOY in that. (BROTHER IN CHRIST).

True that!
However - partly, I think it's because the Lord himself prophesied about such things say "In the world you will have tribulation but be of good cheer I have overcome the world."

Naturalism and atheism feeds the love of self. If you love self, you have nothing but animosity for everyone around you.

Why are you equating "difficult thought in God" to "animosity in the direction of Christians"? > "answer to Cirbyn - because of fact of solutions like this - because of fact of their arrogance everyone who's confident that his god is the only one and the excellent international is erroneous and is unwilling to settle for the superb variety of humanity isn't something yet a ineffective hypocrite" reaction: so which you think of "difficult thought in God" is largely comparable to "animosity in the direction of Christians" because of fact ... actual i can't make any experience out of your answer. You look coming down on those that are confident their god is the only one. yet that should coach to maximum Christians. So does not that make you the only with the anti-Christian "animosity"?

Being persecuted is an opportunity for you to show your faithfulness to Christ in the face of adversity.
If faith can be blown down by a gentle wind
is it really faith at all?
I thank God for my opportunities to show my faithfulness.
