yes, but you forget, part of the "method" for obtaining those riches is to give your hard earned money to the preachers. thereby recieving God's blessing. It is so damn crazy, Jesus never had material wealth and yet the preachers are all living in luxury.

People would believe anybody telling them they are entitled to wealth. It's inborn to crave for more - even if you are a Christian, you are not immune to dreams of being rich. After all life is so much easier when you have all the money in the world. But telling people that Jesus wants them to be rich is dangerous and I almost despise ministers that teach that. Usually those ministers get rich themselves and think that's how all the Christians should be. And if you don't get rich for one reason or another, they put the blame on you - that you don't love Jesus enough or you don't trust Him enough - which ruins your relationship with God and destroys your faith and your self-esteem. I wish people would read the Bible more and reflct on it so God can reveal to them personally the truths from His word.

We would be if it wasn't for the Serpent beguiling Adam & Eve into taking the forbidden fruit!
I am rich with things. If U have lots of things U are rich. You may not be rich in money but money is just a tool to get things! It's not wrong to be rich but it is wrong
to be greedy. It's not the love of money but the greed of money is wrong. God spoke out against the greedy man
but spoke well of the generous man! If U are rich and a goodly person U would be doing a lot of good for others.
God wants us to be rich in order to help those that are poor!..If I ever get rich that's exactly what I will do!
It's not foolish for minister to preach that Jesus want us
to be rich cause it''s the truth!

I don't think it's foolish at all. Atleast on the part of the ministers. I think they have a purpose and an agenda for preaching in such a way. And those who believe them have also got agendas, of living a life of wealth and making the neighbours jealous. I was a christian once, and we had "prosperity preachers" all over the place. But i didn't buy them coz i never thought it was money that i needed to solve all my problems. And why would Jesus want you to be rich anyway? If i remembered correctly, he came to save the world from itself, from it's spiritual death; not fix everyone's financial problem.

Jesus wants us to be rich in love, hope, and faith. Have you read the parable of a young rich man? Jesus said, " it is more difficult for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God than a sheep that enters the hole of a needle". We cannot serve two gods at the same time. If we're serving money, the tendency would be, we'll easily fall into sin. The desire of becoming rich materially is greater than the desire of becoming rich in spirit.
However, this does not mean that we'll be idle. We should work lovingly, work not to gain personal glory but for God's glory.

It is not wrong - it just isn't the gospel. It forms a stumbling block. If you preach for a person to be rich and be healed, when all is well that person will logically (correctly) not see the need for the Lord.
The gospel declares that we are sinners, seperated from God by our sins - not by sickness, poverty, crime or anything but by our sins. It presents us with the sin - bearing Messiah, who died first and foremost to take away our sins and to present us spotless before the presence of his Father and our God blameless. I think this is the fundamental core of the gospel that is often overlooked. I also think there is nothing as important as being found in the presence of God. There is no amount of money that can buy that. IT IS PRICELESS.

Its wrong for the preacher to preach it...
But there's nothing wrong with properly managing money. That's called "Good Stewardship"
If you properly manage your money (in the US) you SHOULD be able to become wealthy if you work for a living.
If you have $5000 on a credit card and make the minimum payment you are potentially paying $100 a month in interest and you'll take 40 years to pay off the balance.
If you put $100 a month into savings from age 18 to retirement, you should have between $300,000 and $1.5 million CASH in the bank when you retire.
Do you want to pay interest... or pay yourself and gain interest?

The people are innocent. The preacher, is in trouble. Store up your treasures in heaven. Trust the Lord to give you what you need for today. It is not good to be rich; for it is easier for a camel to fit thru the eye of a needle, than for the rich to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. And take care of me Lord, do that I am not so poor, that it causes me to sin, by stealing....

Oh you've got it now. I think you have really understood the Bible! When Jesus says "rich" he is talking about the material world - right?
OK just kidding. Jesus spoke in parables. Get over it.
