I have serious jelousy issues with my boyfriends ex. she is married and we have been going out for almost three years. still, when I hear her name, I am instantly jealous. I hate it, I know he loves me and I love him, but I can't seem to get over the "ex-factor". any advice??

If you feel jealous it means you are insecure. You may feel this way about yourself or the relationship, either way this is a normal feeling and say for example if there is something directly threatening you or your relationship there is genuine reason to feel this way. What does your boyfriend say? If you haven’t spoken to him I would advise you to make your feelings know so even if he maintains contact with this women he can be more tactful and not bring her up when his with you. I don’t know your situation so its hard to advise but remember that exes are exes for a reason and if she was so great he would still be with her and he wouldn’t have invested three years with you.

I have also experienced a similar situation in the past and can say that the best remedy was to give him some space and concentrate on me. This let him miss me and realise just how much it meant having me in his life and pushed any filtering thought of anyone else out of his head and made him concentrate on me. Also by spending more time with my friends and doing the things I enjoy I felt better about myself and more confident which reassured me that I am good and his lucky to have me.

Enjoy yourself, and even though its hard try not to stress.

dats part of being human and in relationships. its also being protective but dun let it get 2 far n a gud hold of u. its only brings trouble.

talk to him and take a gud look at urself n d relationship. from ur feelings it tells sumting.

learn 2 control ur feeligs and it'll go away in time. sorry 2 say . . . u r insecure n not trusty enuf in d relationship.

talk it out wih him but the real work is done by u.

gud luck.

hmm well how jealous do you feel?
i think it's normal to feel a little "pinch" on the inside whenever you hear the name. however, if the jealousy strongly affects you and gets the best of you, then you need to relax and be more confident in your relationship with him. they broke up for a reason. you're both happy together. focus on that.

It is juts but noormal for you to get jealous, that is just one way of showing that you really love your boyfriend and you would onlywaht to make sure that you're the only one he is loving too.Everybody would do same thing I guess, for if not that would only mean that they don't care for each other.

Just remind yourself of the positive things that you posses. Somehting that she doesnt have (like your man). You are a good woman and should never feel jealous about anyone coz no one person is the same as you are.

I don't know why but there are just some people who seem to create it even when you try hard not to have it. Try and think of a positive focus for that energy. I'm sure your BF will like that strategy. (But be good)

Do you honestly trust him?? Do you communicate these feelings to him openly?? If you can answer yes to both then you have no reason to be jealous of his ex who has clearly moved on, as he has with you.

because you are insecure. meaning you have to know everything he does every minute and that you don't trust him etc
