...that the kingdom of Heaven is within you, does he mean that we're all in Heaven but we just have to realize it to actually see it? I think people are already in Heaven and maybe they see us sleeping because we haven't awaken yet to join them...we're there but we just don't realize it and we must awaken.

I don't know!

Jesus is a fictional character from a myth, not a historical figure. However, perhaps what the quote refers to is that there is a way of looking at the world and living in it, such that you are mindful of the present moment and wonder at all the possibilities that it holds.

You need not feel badly nor treat yourself badly just because you renounce god. Renouncing god only means you have come to your senses and decided to think for yourself rather than blind submit to primitive superstitions and religious dogma. There is no credible evidence to prove that god or any other supernatural entity exists. Stop kicking yourself around just because you are intelligent enough to see reality as the evidence demonstrates it is.

A person is a spirit, who has a soul and lives in a body. God is Spirit He relates to us in the spirit which is inside of us. All the potential and powers of heaven are available to us by working of the Holy Spirit who lives in our bodies but communicates with our spirit. For example God gives life to our mortal bodies through His Spirit (Rom 8:11). So all the powers and blessings of the kingdom comes from within us by the working of the Holy Spirit through our spirit. Also you cannot renounce God after you become a Christian because the Holy Spirit will not empower you do it. As New Covenant believers all our answered prayers are prayed with the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. As the Apostle Paul wrote that no one can say Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit (1 Cor 12:3). So do not condemn yourself Jesus still loves you as your Savior and Lord.

The Bible doesn't say that, it says the kingdom of God is within you, not the kingdom of heaven. There is a distinct difference between the two. In a Christian's life God lives within and rules within and therefore the Kingdom of God is there. If God is not ruling there then the kingdom is not there. Judging from your comments, God is not ruling in your life yet.

You are greatly in error - Greatly!

The first question regarding the Kingdom of God is : What is the Kingdom of God?

The kingdom of God does not come by observation nor will they say 'see, there is the kingdom of God', for the kingdom of God is indeed within you. The question at hand is 'what is it?'.

The Kingdom of God is righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. This is the kingdom of God and there is none else!

Human beings are the only thing capable of sharing God's kingdom through the influx of God into their soul. You have a cup and platter, the Lord gives bread and wine. The bread goes to the platter, the wine goes to the cup.

God loves you because of Who and What He is.

God's love is bigger than all of your failures and mistakes.

We may deny Him, but He will never deny us. That is real love.

The Kingdom is within you means that it is within your ability to accept Jesus Christ as your savior and someday be in Heaven forever. He loves you and so do I.

luke 17:20 But on being asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God was coming, he answered them and said: “The kingdom of God is not coming with striking observableness, 21 neither will people be saying, ‘See here!’ or, ‘There!’ For, look! the kingdom of God is in YOUR midst.”

the word in your midst is translated from the greek word to mean among you, not within you, it was referring to Jesus being in there midst

That statement is a very Buddhist statement.

It is said in Buddhism, Look within you are the Buddha. It is saying that divinity is within not without!

However what you quoted is a contradiction of John 3:3

Jesus said, "The kingdom of heaven is inside you and all around you, not in buildings of wood and stone. Split a piece of wood and I am there; lift a stone and you will find me."
