Though it does sound like Irritable Bowel Syndrome (commonly referred to as IBS), it could still very well be something else such as a lactose intolerance, or even possible another bowel related problem such as intestinal worms that you got from food. I highly recommend scheduling an appointment with your doctor for further tests. If it is indeed IBS, a prescription medication can bring you great relief and get your life back to normal. Here is a link from the trusted Mayo Clinic talking about IBS.

In the mean time, until you see a doctor and get a clear diagnosis, make sure to consume plenty of water to prevent dehydration. One would think that they would know if they were dehydrated but really it's very easy to become dehydrated and not even know it until it's too late.
I wish you the very best!

Truthfully, the best thing you can do is check with a doctor...I see where a couple of posters have suggested IBS..which is possible...but I do know that there is certain vitamin deficiencies that can cause your symptoms also...so, there is probably a multitude of different things that would cause this.. really the only way to find out what is going on.. is by going to a doctor .....if you are like me...this is the one option you would like to avoid like the plague...but sometimes it just is unavoidable.....just the other day...I had to see one over an infected wisdom tooth...the pain was just to great...and after four days of not eating and only getting an hour sleep here and there..I finally gave in..I even ended up getting a shot in my bum : ( ...which I hadn't had done since I was a child....but I must admit..I felt a whole lot better in short order..my infection was pretty bad and it wouldn't have cleared up on its own...so sometimes we just have to do what we would rather not for the sake of our health and sanity....I believe my sanity was slipping a little........
since this has going on for months ..It don't look like it will go away on its own..so please check in with a doctor...at least they will be able to give you some medications to ease your discomfort...and that is better than suffering.....
I hope you get to feeling better....

It could be any number of things. IBS has been suggested but that is only possibility. Have you tried changing your diet to see if what you eat affects how you feel in any way?
Three months is really too long for you to go on this way. Do you have insurance? If so, please go to a doctor and get this checked out.

3 months you have been suffering with this, personally I would make an appointment to see your doctor. It could be a bug you have picked up and a simple test will help identify the cause and perhaps a course of antibiotics would hopefully clear it up.
Always err on the side of caution with any pain and seek medical advice.
All th best and I hope you are soon rid of the discomfort and pain.

It sounds a little like IBS which you can normally control with diet/lifestyle changes. Another possible reason is you could be allergic/intolerant to a certain food. Have a chat with your doctor

Go to your doctors, and tell them you want an allergies test, and if that does come back negitive (but it sounds like your lactose intolerant). then get a blood test. If that comes back negitive, then you need to cut out stress, caffine, smoking etc, everything bad for you and fun!
