why my flight details said I'm arriving in New York/ Newark Liberty but my agent said I'm arriving in New Jersey not NY. CONFUSING

New Jersey. That's where Newark is. Very close to New York, though.

Newark Liberty Airport is actually in Elizabeth, New Jersey, which is near Newark, and close to New York City. When I lived in Manhattan, I actually preferred Newark Airport as it was easier to get to the west side of Manhattan than the 2 New York Airports, La Guardia and JFK.

Newark/Liberty International Airport (EWR) is in New Jersey, the property sits on the border of the City of Newark and the City of Elizibeth.
I find it alot easier place to get in and out of than JFK or LaGuardia airports.
It has Better connections to Mid-Town and DownTown Manhattan than the other two area airports.

As others have said it in NJ
True NY story; The first major airport in the NYC area was in Newark . Mayor Fiorello Laguardia flew into Newark and refused to get off the plane saying that since his ticket said "destination New York " that is where the airline was legally obligated to fly him to .
He lost the argument but initiated the process of building the airport that now bears his name.

very near NYC but still --- not NYC
google up a map and take a close look
because if you're destination IS NYC
you may be in for a very uncomfortable bus ride
OR a very expensive Cab ride !!!!
