The people you invite to your wedding should be the people you want to help celebrate your new life as a couple. Your wedding day is supposed to be one of the happiest days of your life why would you invite people who do not want to share in this celebration, who attend simply because they want to see what kind of spectacle good or bad you are going to make and rejoice in your failures not your good fortune

I agree with the people who say it is your wedding and you should do what you want. If you know that having a certain person at your wedding would upset you that don't invite them. It is your day and you are going to be stressed out as it is. Chances are if you don't get a long with them too well they probably don't want to come anyways. So I just wouldn't send an invitation.

I had the same problem and I just didnt invite the family members who nobody gets along with. They werent even mad about it! Its better to have a few people at your wedding that loves you, cares for you and is happy for you than to have the ones who hate you show up and make all your photos fake smile ones. Its your wedding and it whould be the happiest day of your life, deal with the consequences afterward .

Your wedding is your big day. The one time in your life that good fortune, love and happiness is in abundance.
You decide who you would like to have share your special day with you.
Do not feel pressurised or un-comfortable with what other people think. If someone is immature enough and/or a *****, to insist that you have to invite someone you dont want, tell them to take a hike or they will also be off the guest list.
It is your day..... Not anybody else.
Enjoy and best wishes

My sister in law has already said to me "Don't bother sending me an invite" which you would think is a clear message, however, if I don't send them an invite she will only talk about me behind my back. Weddings are sometimes occasions when we have to invite people for the sake of the peace, but one thing to remember is that they may dislike you as much as you dislike them and they may refuse the invite anyway!!

Advice is ....its YOUR day. Invite who you want to invite, agree it with your other half and make it clear to others that that's the list and that's final. If you stick to your guns then others will get the idea that it's your day and you should do things how you wish.
We did just that and got the entire day how we wanted and it all worked out fine. You gotta stick to your guns though. Enjoy your big day.

Go ahead and invite them. Be the sane one. They will be surprised and honored that you thought enough of them to invite them. A lot of times people don't realize that they are "*******." This is your day. No one can upset you on your special day. You won't allow it.

Invite them to be polite, and you can secretly hope they dont come, and if they do say they are coming along, take it as a sign they are trying to make things right, or you can sit them all in a group. You will be to busy enjoying your day to notice them anyways :D
