Most of the people have seen dark side of love. There are good things about being single and bad. Just the same as with being in relationship. It's not sugar coated fairy tale, if you will find someone that you really like, and she likes you, then you'll change your mind. Don't be so bitter. We all had bad experiences in love and a lot of pain. And then eventually you try again with someone else because you hope something will be better next time. You should think like that too. I doubt that your experience is any more painful than mine or someone elses.

There is nothing wrong with you having the feelings that you do. If you are happy being single, stay that way. Everyone needs to find the path in life that is best for them. Having good friends can be very rewarding. You are not crazy, you are not alone. Enjoy your life as you like it.

Seeing that you've never been in a relationship, you don't know how it feels to be in love with someone who loves you back. When you've actually experienced that, that's when you can decide on whether or not you are in fact happy being single.
Otherwise, it just seems that you're telling yourself that being single is your choice and that you're happy with that choice. Even though deep inside, you want to know how it feels to be in love with someone who loves you back, but you think it will never happen. Thus making yourself believe that being happy single is all by choice, which reduces chances of getting hurt.
I could be wrong though and we're all different, so I can't judge.

Right on!
Being single is a great plan. Marriage and such is for raising families. Your goals are honest and fair. I knew a Gentleman who never married (in his 70's) and was quite content and not the least bit remorseful.
Good Luck

Life is about ups and downs, highs and lows...
If you don't take the risk of finding great love then you have robbed yourself of a full-filling life!
Sure everyone gets beaten up by love but it's the way that you handle it and how you get back on your feet again!
All the best

Some people what close intamate companionship others are happy being alone. Do what you want to do not what other people tell you. They do not know what you feel, if you find someone you want to be with then you can be with them don't let yourself be pushed into a relationship.

I'm a college student. I'm athletic, kinda thin-looking, asian guy. I've had so many close girlfriends in my highschool years, but they never went out with me because I was nice to them. "Nice guys finish last." <- that kinda bullshiet. But I still want to find the chick that best suits my preference. That is partially why I go to Starbucks most of the time.

You've never had a girlfriend or a relationship, yet love has brought you close to suicide???
