you sound like you need to do much more research on the breed and on dogs in general....go to akc.org and read up on them,, also read up on Keeshond, and norwegian elkhound (smaller nordic breeds) go to some dog shows BEFORE you get a dog and talk with as many exhibitors as possible... get some breeder contacts,, go meet with them,, meet their dogs,, voice all your concerns with a reputable breeder.... be prepared to spend over $600.

I recommend going thru a breeder. Normally prices range from $500 +. But doing research and finding a reputable breeder will give you gurantees on health/dysplasia...and above all the temperment will be good.

All pups 'mouth', Huskies have 'soft' mouths...which means that they are not known for using their mouths in a hard way, and understand how to use it appropriately. Training is a must. Speak to a trainer before adopting. READ alot!

The trainer will be your voice of reason during the difficult puppy days.

All dogs can unintentionally bite hard when they are playing with you. It's best to keep your fingers away from their mouth when playing, even if the dog has never shown any signs of aggression or ever bitten anybody before.

You would definetly want to get her from a reputable breeder - even if it means buying one from another state and getting her shipped over to you. Expect to pay at least $400 to $1500 or more for a top quality Sibe. Make sure the breeder is registered with the AKC, make sure the dogs have all been cleared of HEREDITARY diseases and make sure they either come from top quality show bloodlines or are champions themself.

We have an Alaskan husky. He plays hard sometimes but that's only when he gets excited.i recommend you do alot of research on the Siberian before you get him .They are quite different than other dogs. They require lots of exercise or they will get bored an be destructive. An the price depends on where you get him. Most breeders charge 300 to 350 but they do have Siberian Rescues.good luck:)

Yes!! My husky bites a lot also but I give him plenty of chew toys. I swap them out for my hand. It's not cute so you have to be firm and say no. Stand up and ignore him until he stops biting then praise and reward. REPEAT REPEAT REPEAT!! Sometimes you need to pay for quality but if you want to breed look at around $500.00 to $750.00 Huskies are a lot of fun. My puppy is 12 weeks and knows how to come, sit and kiss.
